Here is a quick emotion release trick:
- The first thing to do is to stop what you are doing and close your eyes.
- Take three deep breaths. Hold for 3 counts each time and slowly let the air out.
- Let go of your thoughts about the cause of your emotion. Focus on your feelings.
- Feel the emotion throughout your body; you could feel it in your heart area, solar plexus, chest or throat, or pretty much anywhere else.
- Keep feeling until the emotion is no longer there. Could take up to five minutes, usually less. Don't stop until it is completely gone. If it takes longer than the five minutes it could be because you are thinking about what caused the emotions.
- If the emotions occur again it is probably because similar emotions are deeply wedged in your body. Just practice the above five steps again until they are released.
By doing the above steps regularly, you will purge negative emotions out of your system and also be able to handle life challenges and low energy people in a healthier way.
